Brief Biography
Peyton N. Robertson joined Plauche, Smith & Nieset in 2021. In 2026 Peyton earned elevation to full partnership, becoming PSN’s first female partner since its inception in 1921. Peyton’s practice is devoted exclusively to civil litigation. She represents business, industry, and governmental entities across a broad spectrum of matters, including personal injury, class actions, mass casualty claims, products liability, premises liability, toxic torts, oil and gas disputes, property acquisition, contractual disputes and the pursuit of affirmative claims in their capacity as plaintiffs. Peyton also maintains a comprehensive insurance defense practice, including automobile liability and first-party claims, frequently involving extracontractual damages. Before joining Plauche, Smith & Nieset, Peyton clerked at the Fourteenth Judicial District Court in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Peyton is admitted to, and has practiced extensively in, all Louisiana state and appellate courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
