Brief Biography:

Kendrick J. Guidry is a partner at Plauché, Smith & Nieset, LLC.  Kendrick has been practicing with the firm since 2006. In addition to a general civil litigation defense practice, Kendrick focuses on areas of auto liability, premises liability, workers’ compensation, successions, governmental liability, general torts, and subrogation matters. Kendrick has bench and jury trial experience in all federal and Louisiana state courts. He has also appeared in the U.S. Supreme Court, Fox v. Vice, preserving attorney fee awards for defendants in civil rights litigation cases.

Before coming to the firm, Kendrick previously worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office. He is a Distinguished Military Graduate, served in the United States Army Signal Corps as a 2LT, served in several administrative and managerial positions with CARC, and served as an adjunct professor teaching paralegal courses at McNeese State University.

Kendrick has an extensive history of being involved with his community and has been recognized for his various volunteer activities. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for CARC. He previously served three years as its President. Kendrick is on the Finance Committee for St. John Bosco Church. In the past, he has served the following agencies: Southwest Louisiana Homeless Coalition Board of Directors, Board of Directors of Partners in Manhood, Calcasieu Parish Police Jury and Board of Directors of the Foreman-Reynaud YMCA. Kendrick was Co-Founder of Project Rebuild-Future, Foreman-Reynaud YMCA.

Kendrick has presented CLE courses on the following topics: Employment Law Specialization, Discipline Hearing Committee, and Law Office Practices.
