Joseph R. Pousson, Jr., born
January 17, 1962, received a B.S.
degree at McNeese University 1985.
After graduating, he was employed as
a software consultant by a large Houston-based computer company
whose clients included the nation’s
largest automobile dealerships. He
also worked as a computer programmer
until 1989. He obtained a J.D.
degree from LSU Law School in
1993, after which he began to practice
in corporate and insurance
defense litigation, including wrongful
death, premises liability, maritime,
subrogation, mass tort, workers’ compensation,
workers’ compensation
fraud, toxic tort, environmental, corporate
securities fraud, unfair trade
practices litigation, and public entity
defense.

Joseph Pousson’s experience
with computers has resulted in his
planning and conducting
Continuing Legal Education seminars
for lawyers and their paralegals
on computer technology in the area
of defense litigation.
He is a member of the
Louisiana State, and Southwest
Louisiana Bar Associations, the
Louisiana and Southwest Louisiana
Associations of Defense Counsel, St.
Louis Foundation board member,
and past member of the American
Inns of Court. He is admitted to
practice in all of the state district and
appellate courts of Louisiana, and
the U. S . District Courts for the
Western, Eastern, and Middle
Districts of Louisiana.
